For The Salmon
- 4 salmon filets
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 sweet or smoked paprika
For The Sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat the salmon to dry it, then season it with the salt, pepper, and paprika. Set it aside. Adjust your oven rack to the middle position, and preheat the broiler.
- Grab a large, oven-safe skillet and put it on medium-high heat. Place the butter and oil and allow the butter to melt. Then, add the garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for 30 seconds or so – until the sauce is heated through.
- Add the salmon, skin-side down, and cook it for 3 minutes. While the salmon is cooking, baste it frequently with the sauce from the pan by using a spoon to pour a little over the top.
- Broil the salmon for 5-6 minutes. Baste it once with the sauce during the broil. Cook until the salmon is caramelized and cooked to desired doneness.
- Serve and garnish with a little parsley – optional.
